What I have been up to

Well, here is what I have been up to since last posting.... Started Dorothea Padies this week ...  Stitching on 40 ct Ricamo with a mystery spool
Working on GH 1844 .. have a bit more done since this photo was taken  Stitching on 45 ct Florence with Kodiak Bear and Gandy Dancer 1113
And finished Anna Schween.  This has to be one of my all time favorites.... she is stitched on 40 ct ricamo with Vikki Clayton's converison... it is just beautiful.

Have had a bit more stitching time these last few weeks since I have been off of work due to some surgery.. Recovery  is coming along and it will soon be time to go back to work.

Anna Schween Update

Just started page 6 this morning. That means just nine more pages to go! Almost half way. Will post a pic later this evening. Also received my 45 ct Florence Linen from Needle in a Haystack. Oh my I love that stuff!! Did a few stitched of Celle on it and it is just awesome... Love it so much that I went ahead and ordered 2 more yards. Really can see using this linen for many projects.

New from Sabine

Here are 2 new charts on Sabine's site. Just had to have them and the order has been placed!!!! The Vierlanden is called D. Padies and the other is PAPA. Can't wait to get them.

http://www.samplers-berlin.com/index_en.html

also for a treat .. look at Sabine's site and under Anna Schween is my progress. What an honor.

Gigi's Jeanne Ries

Oh my.. this is one my Wish List!!! Just love it. I currently have Jane Rees as a work in progress. Now wouldn't Gigi's - Jeanne Ries look just awesome hanging next to it. Shall be placing an order soon.

Anna Schween

Started Anna Schween about 3 weeks ago. And this is my progress to date. She is such fun to stitch. When working on each rosette, tree, etc you really don't see the design until you look at it from a distance. and then it is WOW. I love the colors in this also. She is being stitched on 40 ct Ricamo with Vikki Clayton's conversion.

MW update 5/18/08

This is my update on Mary Wigham for today. The plan is to have her finished within the next 2 weeks. Even though there is a lot of contraversy about this chart I truly am enjoying stitching it. Finding it very hard to put down. I will keep stitching as that is the true pleasure for me.

Next up will be Rachel Wilson. Still have not definitely decided on the fabric and thread for her. Thinking of using VC - Midnight Madness on LL Strawflower. I still have a few weeks till I start her so things sure could change.

Ackworth 2 finished

Finished this last weekend just didn't get around to posting. Have to say it is one of my favorites.
Finally got to the framer today and took all 9 of my finished Quakers to be framed. Was not looking forward to the cost but as things turned out it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Took Ann Grimshaw, Maria Spence, Ackworth 2, Frances Rae, Beatrix Potter, Eliza Trusted, Hannah Beeby, Hannah Hicks and Mary Busby. Final cost to have all framed was $956.00 that is an average cost of $106 each. Really don't think that is too bad considering some of these are rather large pieces. So I am just a Happy Camper!!! Should be able to pick them all up on May 17. So stay tuned folks for the pics of the Quaker Wall. It will be forthcoming!! :)

Almost finished

Just have one more medallion and a few letters to complete and Ute's Ackworth 2 will be finished. Plan is to finish it today. Then the big decision... What to work on next?? Shall I finish up some of the WIP's or start something new?? Will have to ponder that as I stitch these last stitches on A2. Will post a pic as soon as it is completed.
